A lot of animals live freely throughout this village. We have the regular kind which can also be spotted in The Netherlands: cats, dogs, birds and bunnies, but also deer. A lot of deer. Though this might be a consequence of everybody not driving very fast - if people were to drive more like Dutch people I'd expect there to be less deer. Deer are also considered holy when they cross the road, which they tend to do a lot, which causes the only kind of traffic jam possible here.
Most of the pictures below have been photographed from home. The neighborhood deer are quite aggressive here, relatively speaking. They eat from your hand, from your grass and/or trees, and from whatever else is edible in and around your house.
