2007-08-18 07:58 - Up and running!
Ever since I was a child I was constantly amazed by the weird and strange devices my mother keeps in her workshop - the bulk of these had something to do with bronze working. Since this equipment was typically heavy and Canada is far away my mother had to gather a new collection of devices to use here. And she did. A big compressor, several air tubes, a lot of woodworking tools and a sturdy workbench now adorn the shop, along with other more obscure thingies. One of these devices is the, hmm, let's call it the Portable Erosion Device. It's a machine which fast forwards natural erosion to polish small objects. A few days ago we filled it with small stones and pebbles found on the beach. The machine then churns for about a month to polish it's contents. But of course we couldn't wait that long and today we looked into the container to see how the stones are progressing.
And for something completely different: the skies at the local harbor keep amazing me!
